Letter Drive for Healthcare Workers and First Responders

 

 

Legislator John Ferretti joined with Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell, Police Benevolent Association President James McDermott and Helen Meittinas, President of the Community association of Stewart Avenue, to announce “Letters to Our Heroes.”

As COVID-19 sweeps across our county, state, and nation, our healthcare workers and first responders are, now more than ever, on the front lines keeping us safe. Legislator Ferretti announced “Letters to Our Heroes”; a way for children and members of the community to write thank you letters and e-mails to those working around the clock serving our community. From today through next Tuesday April 7th, residents are encouraged to write a note to our first responders and healthcare workers thanking them for helping to keep our community safe and healthy. They can send these notes electronically via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. Letters will be collected, printed, sorted, and delivered to police precincts, hospitals and healthcare centers throughout the county, and the 15th Legislative District.
