Police Week 2012
Leg. Rob Calarco is pleased to announce the SCPD’s annual Police Week for 2012. The three-day event will feature live demonstrations, scheduled events, equipment displays and tours. Of special interest are the K-9 Dogs and Team, the 911 communications center tour and the SCPD helicopter.
“It is well worth a trip to Yaphank Police Headquarters to see firsthand what our police department uses to serve and protect the public. Not too long ago I was able to honor our Marine Bureau officers for saving a clammer from the icy waters of the Great South Bay. They, too, will have a display,” said Leg. Calarco. The events take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the three days.
